World Read Aloud Day 2025: A Sneak Peek into ‘Maaf Don’t Graaf’
Reading aloud is a powerful way to bring stories to life, spark imaginations, and connect with young minds. While many focus on little ones for World Read Aloud Day, I wanted to shine a light on a group that often gets overlooked – our tweens and teens!
Today, I’m sharing an exclusive read-aloud from Maaf Don’t Graaf, a proudly South African series that I am working on which follows the hilarious and sometimes chaotic (mis)adventures of Ismail and Aadam. These two boys always seem to land themselves in trouble with their no-nonsense neighbor, Uncle Riaz. But as they quickly learn, simply saying “Maaf” (sorry) isn’t always enough… Sometimes, they have to deal with the consequences of their actions!
Join me as I bring a snippet of their world to life in this special recording. Hit play, listen in, and let me know – have you ever been in a situation where “sorry” just wasn’t enough?
